Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Jim Palumbo on January 5, 2017:
Dad, You will be sorely missed but I am extremely glad that you were my Dad. Your humor, support and love have grounded me and helped me get to where I am today. The poem that Linda wrote (1 of your 7 children) sums up our feelings.
We are sad, Dad Our love for you is not a fad It started with our very first peeps And throughout our lives has run extremely deep Your unending help on projects, homework and such Demonstrated your love for us very much We are sad, Dad Our love for you is not a fad A Dad on who we could always rely Your compassion and support no one can deny Your humor, playfulness, and quick grin Will forever be remembered by your children We are sad, Dad Our love for you is not a fad Your love for us was always prevalent Who we all have become makes that evident The grandkids were raised with the same loving hearts As you and Mom always did impart We are sad, Dad Our love for you is not a fad You are now in His kingdom and with His grace We will always be able to feel your gaze Giving us strength in times of need The wonderful memories will abound indeed We are sad, Dad Our love for you is not a fad Beginning with our first cries Loving you will never die
