Uncle Donald... You are missed by so many of us, your family and your friends. I miss you kindness and your gentle way. I miss your humor and I miss our conversations about family and life. I visit that quiet place where you rest in the shadow of hero's and great men. And to us, to me, you are those things also. I continue to honor our friendship and your life by maintaining the memories I have and continuing to share them when and with whom I can. I have a prayer I say for your grand nephew, Cadet John W. Geiger, III andI offer it for you. God Bless you Uncle Donald... and thanks. Dearest Father in Heaven, Bless this child and bless this day Of new beginnings. Smile upon this child And surround this child, Lord, With your guidance and love. Teach this child to follow in the footsteps of those who came before him, And to live life in the ways of Duty, Honor and Country. |
