Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Kim, Sid, Desiree McCray(Family of NC Malik McCray-Class of 2015) on July 22, 2011:
Dear Bower Family, Before writing this condolence letter, I prayed to God to ask Him to give me the words to say that you might be comforted. I lift up your family in prayer that your heart may receive something from this note. Though we didn't not know him, We know that Jacob will always be remembered as a member of the long grey line of the Class of 2015. Below is a poem titled Ushered to Heaven that my daughter wrote on the behalf of our family:
Ushered to Heaven Now that he is gone, things will not be the same Before he left this earth, you had not experienced such pain I know I did not know him but I know he had his head on straight I pray that the angels usher him to our Father's heavenly gates I cannot possibly imagine what you are going through But regardless of your grief God still watches over you I know his days on this earth were short, We all wished him to stay But God had a plan for him For he works in mysterious ways He left us all far too soon Before we could say goodbye Sitting next to God, he is saving a seat for you in the sky If you ever need him, he is with the angels so just call Do not let yourself forget he is in the best place of all Look up and remember his precious, beautiful face Savor all the memories of him, for they will never be erased Yes he has left us, but only because his job was done Now he can rest with God, for the victory has be won
