Be Thou At Peace

Posted by George Kennebeck on December 22, 2011:

I first met Dave as we entered "Sullies" in late summer of 1950. We both qualified to enter West Point in the spring of 1951--Class of 1955. At the end of "Beast Barracks" we were both assigned to F-1 and asked to be assigned as room-mates. We roomed with Dick White for a little over 2 years until Dick resigned because of marriage. At the start of "Firstie" year, Dave was selected for Brigade Staff and moved out.

Dave was a born "Hive" and helped many classmates with academic problems.

We always traveled back and forth from West Point on the train together from Washington and enjoyed a very close relationship.

Because of our different careers, we didn't see much of each other after graduating, but kept in contact. I will miss him.
