| I met Dave in October 1985 when he was kind enough to take into his home an old West Point roommate's daughter who was just starting her new job in Washington, DC. After Dave graciously tolerated my disruptive presence for a number of months I finally moved out but Dave and I remained friends until he died. When I did not get my usual birthday/Christmas card from him I went on line and discovered the sad news that he had died the day before my birthday. Dave was a lovely man, a true gentleman and a good friend to me and my parents. Rest in peace. And say Hi to Dad and Mom will you? |
