| Why has it taken me this long to eulogize this wonderful human being, to-notch classmate and great roomie. I had the privilege of rooming with Ray firstie year when both of us were on the Brigade Staff. I could write volumes about this guy but will offer only one thing. I asked Ray to be my best man when I married my Mary in July 1955. He agreed. So. it was at great cost both personally of his time and financially as well that he flew, in pre-jet days, from California. Mary and I attended his funeral Mass and other related activities.
