Dear Anna, As we know at this time, you are deluged by events and letters of sympathy. Still, Shirley and I have a very special memory of you and Quent over the years. I remember the Denver stock and rodeo show you invited us to, visiting in your home, Quent and I fishing in the icy river on a cold day at Sun Valley on our annual class of 55 ski outing, and of course the many days skiing with you two. While we know Quents' sudden departure was a shock. He has, as always, set a high standard for the rest of us to follow. Oddly, his activities on the day of his death leave us a quiet pleasant memory of this wonderful and unique man. It was our pleasure and honor to know him for 62+ years. |
