Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Otto G. Aichinger III on June 29, 2013:

Mr. B was as solid of a man as there ever was. As I grew up he was always full of encouragement and support. Offering his wisdom or a helping hand was what Mr. B did. He wanted to see you succeed. His positive attitude was always so refreshing. His and Steve's fly fishing skills hooked me into the sport. My Dad and I had one of our most memorable fly fishing trips to the Big Horn on a trip set up by VQB. His laughter and sense of humor will be missed but always remembered. I told Mrs. B what a decent person I thought her husband was about 30 years ago. As I look back, I can think of very few men I admire or would like to emulate more than Mr. Bates. God has a very special place for this most exceptional man.

Thanks Mr. B for the significant impact you had on my life...
