| While I knew Dave as a cadet, especially as we attended daily Mass at the Catholic Chapel when duty didn't interfere, it wasn't until we were classmates at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces that we got to know each other very well. Dave had just returned from being a POW in Viet Nam and Jane and I shared his anguish as he attempted to get his family together again. On our graduation day from ICAF, we had lunch together. It was at this time that I realized what a great classmate and officer Dave was. |
