| In May of 1950, Bob, Ed Trobaugh, Lee Halliday, and I met at Stewart Field. Each of us had received a late appointment and were there to take the emergency exam. It was a stressful experience, and the 4 of us bonded quickly. Ed and Lee entered with the Class of 1954. Lee graduated with '54, but Ed got turned back to '55 yearling year. Bob and I entered with '55. The bond established at Stewart Field never faded. Bill Haas |
