A wonderful man, friend, and roommate. One of my favorite memories has to do with the harassment of Bob over his RI accent. One would frequently hear Paul PAAAKS, "Go Paaak the CAAAR" and other such imitations. Another is the trip we made the Summer after plebe year. Bob, Vic Bannister, and I loaded up in my mother's car and drove to Chicago where we had a great visit with Ted Gay and his family. Though we saw each other very rarely after graduation, I always felt close to Bob. He was older, experienced and I was a naive high school grad as we joined the Corps. His calm demeanor and wise advice helped me through Plebe year and is a major factor in my getting through that year. Well Done Bob! Rest in peace! Save us a place as we will join you soon! |
