Be Thou At Peace

Posted by gerald f bradley on December 15, 2002:

I knew George since kindergarten; his family lived two doors away. We were closest friends as boys. As paralles to 'the red and the black' george chose the military and I became a priest. How George died and why he became incommunicado has remained a mystery to his family and me. His sister,Sharon, did not believe the death certificate supplied by the Army because it lacked an accurate description. There was a rumor that he died a street person. I belive this to be a 'legend' unless the alcholism that plagued his parents got to him. Any information would be most welcome as I remember him fondly very frequently. Contact me, George, and anyone who knows more.
