Be Thou At Peace

Posted by JOHN FUNKHOUSER on January 8, 2008:

I have so many great memeories of Flem (AKA Woodie). We were together for four years in K-1 and would usually hook up on any out of town trips (especially New York City). Woodie was a great friend and someone whom I admired and respected. We roomed together for the second half of Plebe Year. He loved his music and played clarinet in the Cadet Band. He survived Plebe Years at The Citadel and WP. Woodie was a low key guy with an unusual since of humor. We never got together after graduation, but had made contact and planned to meet shortly before his untimely death.

I miss him and think of him often.
