Carl and I met in Beast Barracks, and we maintained a good friendship through cadet years. After graduation, we went through primary flight training together in Marianna, Florida. Carl and Marcia graciously hosted my bride to be for a weekend visit and we got to be great friends. Unfortunately, we never served together, but we did maintain some contact. I was delighted he took the Class presidency and I was confident he would do an outstanding job. His initial enthusiasm proved his determination. Lynn and I were devastated by his death, and our hearts go out to Marcia and his family. Bob and Lynn Strickland |
