As recorded in our Class of 1955 50th Reunion Yearbook, Jon had a spectacular career in the Corps of Engineers as well as later in the Corporate world and his many years of service as Director of Public Works and Engineering for the City of Houston. His academic achievements beyond West Point abounded as he studied at Harvard, Penn State, Wharton, University of Pennsylvania and the Army War College - prepared to face any challenge ahead. His innate intelligence and leadership acumen have taken him far and may he now find comfort, peace and eternal rest in the heavenly arms of the Almighty. There I pray that we will all meet again - and find Jon coaching and teaching "EI - Extra Instruction" for his many classmates and friends. Grip Hands, Carl McNair |
