| It was my privilege to serve with Rex at Fort Campbell when we were both lieutenants in the 187th Airborne "Rakkasan" Battle Group. I admired Rex as a troop leader, as a highly successful athletic coach and as a decent caring human being. He was fun to be with. His keen sense of humor was pervasive. He and his lovely wife, Ann, brought class and dignity to his unit. I considered Rex a true friend. I regret deeply his passing and extend my condolences and sympathy to his family. |
