Ronald Eldredge Rule

West Point, 1955

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Dick Daleski on May 28, 2015:

I had known Ron since 1950. We were at USMA Prep at Stewart Field. I saw little of him at West Point--different regt and different class. Following flight training we both flew out of McGuire but in different squadrons. We came together again in 1959 when we both interviewed to teach at AFA. We both went to grad school at Princeton and flew to gather in grad school and at the AFJ Academy until Ronnie PCSed in 1966 to Hawaii.

Ronnie then served in VN and then the Pentagon followed by tours at Robins and Scott AFBs. He retired in 1980, moved to Georgia and taught college math.

Our families were always close and when we visited Ruth and Ron in 1982 he suggested we retire in Georgia and we did. What made my decision to live in Georgia was Ronnie's matchless integrity, honesty, and willingness to help others. We could count on him for anything we needed, at any time. He was like a brother to me. He is sorely missed.
