BOUCHARD, Philippe Ovide, Brigadier General (retired) U.S.A.F. age 78, of Beavercreek, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 after a struggle with pancreatic cancer. Phil was born in Salem, MA on March 25, 1932, the oldest of five sons born to Raymond E. and Alma A. (Beaulieu) Bouchard. After attending two years at M.I.T. in Cambridge, MA, Phil was accepted at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY, where he graduated in 1955. Phil retired as a Brigadier General after 31 years of service to our country. He later became president and CEO of Universal Technology Corporation retiring in 1997. Phil was a member and past president of the Dayton Engineer's Club, a trustee of the Air Force Institute of Technology, and past president of the Air Force Materials and Manufacturing Alumni Association and was an active member of St. Luke Parish.

Phil is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carole; son, Michael and wife, Dawn and their children, John, Christen, Valerie and Benjamin, of Beavercreek, OH; daughter, Suzanne and husband, David Marberg, of Seattle, WA; son, David and wife, Karen and their daughter, Sarah, of Waldorf, MD; son, Donald and wife, Kathleen, of Mechanicsville, MD. Phil is also survived by four younger brothers, Bertrand (Mary Ann), of Bath, ME, Andre (Maureen), of Peabody, MA, Raymond, Jr. (Mary), of Ft. Myers, FL and John (Jeanne), of Danvers, MA.

The Bouchard family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Prayers will be said at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2010 at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Road with Father Terry Schneider, celebrant. Inurnment of Phil's ashes will be in Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, OH.

If friends and family so desire, memorial donations may be made to St. Luke parish, Good Shepherd Ministries, The Hospice of Dayton, or St. Mary's Development Corporation. Condolences may be sent to the family and the full obituary viewed at www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.
