Beverly R. Gray

Beverly R. Gray, 67, of 216 Avon Drive, Carlisle, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at her home.

Born June 12, 1932, in Providence, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Wayland G. and Ella Rex Price. She was the widow of Lt. Col. Richard H. Gray, who died in 1992.

She had lived in Carlisle for the past 29 years.

Mrs. Gray was a graduate of Hope High School, class of 1950, in Providence, and a 1954 graduate of Boston University Sergeant College in Boston.

She was a former director of physical therapy at the Rehabilitation Hospital in Mechanicsburg and worked as a physical therapist for the visiting nurse association, Carlisle Hospital. She retired in 1997 from Alexander Spring Rehab in Carlisle.

Mrs. Gray is survived by two sons, Jonathan M. Gray of Allentown and Peter A. Gray of Easton; four daughters, Lee M. Chartier of Kingston, R.I.; Susan G. Eckel of Perkasie; Elizabeth A. Negron of Philadelphia and Nancy J. Bryant of Boiling Springs; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. John's Episcopal Church on the Square in Carlisle with the Rev. Canon Mark A. Scheneman officiating.

There will be no viewing. Visitation will be in the Parish Hall of the church immediately following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to your local Cancer Society or to the Breast Cancer Foundation local chapter.

The Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle is handling the arrangements.
