Be Thou At Peace

| Sandy: We began our careers together in the Army Corps of Engineers at the Engineer Officer Basic Class and then headed for 7th Army in Germany. During a trip to Hanau in 1956, I stopped at your unit at a time when you were formed up with your platoon for an inspection. You thought that I was the inspecting officer, and I received a sharp salute. Since those days in Europe, we met frequently at Class reunions. Thanks for supporting the Class all of these years. Having just met with you last month at the 55th, your departure is deeply felt. I trust that you are now at peace. Dan |
