Leave it to Kelly to invent a new path, a path less traveled, to The Long Grey Line. Very few people can speak of enjoying over 50 years of dedicated service to their Country, West Point, their Classmates, and their fellow man. But if anyone enjoyed it, it was Kelly. While Kelly was never at a loss for words, he is more remembered for his deeds, which are now a part of the legend of West Point, as is he. Kelly is a tough act to follow, but we all will in time. The big difference is that Kelly manufactured his own final curtain, and the current calls will continue to resound as a part of the lore of West Point. Grip hands. |
