Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Linda Dean on September 21, 2012:

Col. Newton and I worked together for 22 years! He was my boss, mentor, friend and adopted father! He was my boss for Hidden Valley which he built and owned! He taught me so many things! I remember when I first started the job, he gave me a map of the water lines and sewer lines! He said go out there and make sure you know where they are! I preceded to ask him Aren't you coming and he said NO! I fully didn't understand back then why but later I understood fully! I told him a few years back he made me so mad that day but if I hadn't done it on my own I wouldn't have learned anything! That's just one example of the multiple things he taught me! Not to mention the confidence he gave me in myself over the years! I have never known such a wonderful person as Col. Newton! He has done so much for my family and I! We all will miss him dearly! God speed Col. Newton!
