D-1/I-2, sister companies with all cadets at about 6 feet. I (D-1) crossed with Stan on numerous occasions, particularly in PE and Academic classes. That was how the W.P. system worked, crossing regiments daily. So losing Stan is like losing a Brother from those years; never saw him again after graduation...But am pleased to know of his distinctive AF service thereafter and related successes in civilian life. Wish his family well .... Stan was a blessing for all to know, from way back; and, is an honored member of the Long Gray Line. Regards, Fred Bliss, D-1 |
