I knew Dick, but not too well as he wasn't in my regiment. I remember him as a very optimistic, friendly person who always had a smile for everyone. I saw Dick in the early 1960's at several Army football games at West Point. I recall that he had resigned from the Army and lived somewhere near West Point. I learned later that he had a cancer problem dating back to his last year at West Point, but he didn't mention any health problems to me. Tom Sims '55 |
