Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Carolyn Bauer McKInley on May 11, 2013:

Royal C. Bosshard....named "CHICK" to those of us that new him was my Uncle. He was my Mothers only Brother and when he got sick with lung cancer, I took care of him at the end. I remember while growing up, Uncle Chick always came to Fresno to be with his family at Thanksgiving & Christmas and I believe even Easter. He was a good Uncle to us and I sadly say that I didn't get to really know just how wonderful he was till the ending months. He loved to Gamble and you could find him playing at the nearest casino. Chick was cremated and I lovingly put his ashes in the stream that surrounds TableTop Mountain Rancheria Casino in Fresno County. It is in the foothills and I thought he'd appreciate being near where he loved to go when he visited us. He passed while living in Santa Ana Ca. only 3 miles from the beach. He loved to drive there and go running on the beach for hours at a time. I think of him fondly every time I go......
