Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Bill Robinson, Co I-1, class '55 on October 20, 2005:

I knew Mike from our South Area cadet days, but lost our occasional greetings as cadets when we graduated. I pleased when I learned about family members being in Indiana, PA area and an auto repair business that Mike helped finance in the 80's. Because I was teaching in the IUP College of Business I tried to pass on some info and contacts that might help. I don't think they did but I remember Mike was always so positive about making something happen that he always made me feel good about what I had done. I also remember his tough love of family and abiding faith in God that there was reason for good and bad things happening; that we could try very hard (do your best) to make positive outcomes. I remember some sharing of how to make lemonade out lemons in helping our off spring have a good life. He was a pushover for little girls in his life and I know he derived great pleasure from them. I saw him a few times and he never talked about his difficulties. His love of country and having served was apparent. Grip Hands. Love and prayers to his family.
