Billy Junior Chance MT. HOPE - Chance, Billy J., 74, retired US Army Lt. Col., real estate broker and former Mt. Hope Clarion owner, died Sept. 16, 2008 in Wichita. Service 11 a.m. Saturday, United Methodist Church, Mt. Hope with Rev. Donna Wise officiating. Mr. Chance was born Sept. 20, 1933 in Kensington, Kan., to the late William and Emma (Wachs) Chance. On July 24, 1955 he married Joan Hunsberger in Mt. Hope. Preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother. Survivors: wife, Joan; sons, William and Candy Chance of Dallas, Texas, Mark and Kathy Chance of Belle Plaine; daughter, Jennifer and Doug Roden of Houston, Texas; sisters, Merna Lee Snay of Haven, Ferne Brooks of Wichita; grandsons, Nicholas, Lee and Will Chance, Zach and Nate Roden.
