I remember Dave as a friend, a fellow officer in the Army Reserves, a member of the Rye Fish & Game Club in Rye, NY, and a neighbor when we lived in Port Chester and he and Marcie lived in nearby Rye Ridge, NY. Dave was a great guy, who was always friendly and willing to lend a hand. We served in the 1163rd USAR School where we both taught courses in C&GS, and where he was always helpful in sharing his own understanding of all things military. We enjoyed going to the games at the Point. When I was about to be married, he even offered me the chance to stay the night in his house while my bride and family stayed in mine just before our wedding. We shared many good times at the Rye Fish & Game Club, and especially the annual Pig Roast, about which Dave was something of an expert due to his early experiences in Louisiana. He will be missed. |
