| John was a great classmate, warm, generous and fun to be with. He was a member of our C Squad football squad during that black fall of 1951. Because he was so big ... maybe ponderous was a better term ... he had a tougher plebe year than many of the rest of us. He was easy to spot, easy to find something to nit-pick him for, and upper classmen seemed to gravitate to him. And there was no where he could hide. He took the worst the 4th Class System sent his way; but he never lost his sweetness and kind demeanor. God Bless you, John. RIP |
