Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Ramon S. Capili on August 14, 2009:

Sometime between the year 1988 and 1989, General Jack and Madam Beverly Farrington became part of my life during my employment years at USMTM compound, General's House, Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.I never experienced such fair and fatherly treatment that Sir Jack had ever done to me. He had been very supportive and generous to me and to Ely, the General's cook. There were countless instances wherein we both share memorable moments; from the beach, to the Al-Khobar city music rooms cd shopping, to the jazz music intimate listening on his huge Polk Audio speakers, where his dog, Jade, used to behave well sitting and glancing on the speakers while General's progressive jazz was playing. His cool laughter would suddenly break-out as he suddenly pushed the remote control into a rock music, seeing Jade ran around the house annoyed by the rock tune. Definitely, Jade adapted our late General's unique choice of progressive jazz music as he would settle down again when that mellow music played back. Through all these years, me and my wife whom he met also before, never forget the good times we had before with them once upon a time in Saudi Arabia. We love you guys!!!
