Colonel James R. Brokenshire, Jr.
September 24, 1932 - August 16, 2010 Hershey, Pennsylvania
Colonel Brokenshire was born on September 24, 1932 and passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010.
Colonel Brokenshire was a resident of Hershey, Pennsylvania at the time of his passing.
He was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School, class of 1950. Colonel Brokenshire was a United States Military Academy graduate class of 1955.
He was a US Army Retired. He had more than 24 years of active duty service at installations in the United States and overseas, including Fort Knox, KY; Fort Leavenworth, KS; Schofield Barracks, HI; Korea; Vietnam; and Santiago, Chile.
He was married to Shirley.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 23, 2010 at 11:30AM in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Route 422 & Lucy Avenue, Hershey. Viewing will be from 10:00AM until time of service. Interment with honors will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon VA Hospital C/O Dept. of Hematology and Oncology, 1700 S. Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA 17042.
