The funeral was attended by approximately 400, the music was provided by a choir of about 50, and the Alma Mater was sung a cappella. Seven members of the Birmingham WP Society (including classmates Michalove and Haas) served as honorary pall bearers. The service was extremely well done and decidedly a tribute to John. A Fort Rucker detachment was at the interment. They executed the honors will grace and precision. Bill Haas 18 JAN 2007 |
