Be Thou At Peace

Walt the Warrior,
I first met Walt nearly 20 years ago while teaching and training in Tae Kwon Do. He had to be in his early 70's and he decided it was time to learn a full contact combat sport. I have to say that Walt love of live and spirit definitely infected the class because he was a man nearly three times the age of some of the other adults kicking punching running and even falling but getting up like it was nothing. Which is how he earned the name Walt the Warrior. I remember him telling us he wanted to compete in a tournament when we got there he was the only one in his age range. Walt definitely inspired through action never giving up or quitting. He even earned his black belt. Walt became part of a Tae Kwon Do family and like most family members everyone look up to respected and loved him. I have so many memories that i couldn't possible share them all. I will say this His love of his family was inspirational amd his truly indomitable spirt has left a lasting impact on me and probably anyone who knew him.

To Walt i will forever aspire to have you indomitable spirt and your truly everlasting energy level( thousands of laps around that ymca track)

To his family my heart mourns with yours and you are truly in mine and my families thoughts and prayers
