We first met on 2 July 51 on the train from Worcester to Albany then down to the Point. As we crossed the NY state line I was informed by Ron that we could now have a beer (18 years of age legal then, I was still 17), which of course we did. Yearling and Cow years we roomed together, I was envious of his Glee Club trips with war stories. I had not seen Ron since 55 but talked at length about five years ago. A piece of me left with you, old friend! God bless you and keep the party going up there 'til we all show up. |
