Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Kirsten and Devon Singer on November 7, 2015:

Our dad taught us gentleness, loving kindness, and the importance of others above self. He was always improving himself, whether through sports and exercise, earning academic degrees, or sorting out a comment that might have been hurtful. He was rarely angry, and known by all who knew him for his dry, ever-present sense of humor and generosity.

Dad will forever be remembered for his many walks with his beloved dogs, and his love of routine that included his daily walks for a newspaper, self chopped woodpiles, LOVE of college football, a cold glass of beer, reading, and of course his naps.

My sister and I will be forever grateful for the sense of security and stability he provided throughout our lives. He loved our mom through the good and challenging times up until she left us in January 2014. He never stopped missing her, and we fervently hope they are together again now.....with their dogs. We love and miss you, daddy.
