| I was blessed by God in my thirty-five years of life to have been allowed the distinguished honor of calling Lt. Col Carl Alan Rankin my grandfather. To me he was the very paragon of a military man. His dedication to duty was undeniable to any who knew him. He was a man of integrity and compassion. He spoke with tact in every situation and was never quick to an unkind word. His brilliant mind was a treasure to his entire family and will be greatly missed. |
