Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Bill Roth on May 18, 2013:

After trying to contact Dempsie by phone several times, I was saddened to learn that he had passed away. Dempsie and I spent many hours together shooting skeet and at times sporting clays. When asked and the rest of the work was done, he would put on a display of trick shooting that was awesome and amazing. From making a salad by shredding vegetables with rounds from his Model twelve pump shotgun to shooting off the shot end of a round, to working up from one to seven clay pigeons thrown in the air, and hitting everyone as they fell. He had worked for Winchester at one time, I think, before he went into the AF as an enlisted type.

Although he didn't score well in WP academics that didn't stop him from becoming a Helicopter test pilot, which is no mean feat.

He was a wonderful friend, who always had a smile for everyone. He is sorely missed, by me, and many others.
