Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Carl McNair on April 6, 2009:

Dear Bill:

Through our four years at West Point and our "Green Hat" year of flight training at Gary AFB and Fort Rucker, you exemplified the energy, determination and zeal to "go for it". The record speaks for itself, aero engineer, experimental test pilot, trainer, educator and finally boat captain on the smallest ocean in Virgnia. What a life, what a family, what a legacy, you did it all - and you did it your way. Am proud to have been in your circle of friendship and flown with you, "as we slipped the surly bonds of earth."

May God be with you until we all meet again, to "reach out and touch the face of God".

Well done thou good and faithful servant. --

Carl McNair
