Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Carmon B Mays on March 24, 2023:

I served with then Captain William A. Graham for 18 months at TUSLOG Detachment 4-1 [ASA] in Ankara. Turkey from November 1962 to May 1964 as an enlisted man. He was my commanding officer. I remember him as a real professional soldier who treated his men with respect and compassion and was a good leader. I never served in a better run outfit during my three years in the army. Never heard anyone say a negative word about him. He had the full respect of all of his men. He was a practical officer who looked at the mission rather than spit and polish. He served West Point well. It is with regret that I hear of his passing. May he rest in peace.
