| Frank, Dan Moses, and I roomed together First Class year. Frank LOVED to sleep on Wednesday afternoons, which certainly met with my approval. Dan roared in the first Wednesday, flipped the lights on, and announced loudly, "Up and at 'em Men, laundries here!" Frank "gently" explained that we were no longer Plebes. The next Wednesday, Dan tiptoed in softly and very gently and as quietly as possible began opening his laundry bundle. Under our red boys, Frank & I could hear "crinkle, crinkle, crinkle". After a few minutes Frank threw his red boy off screaming, "Stop it, stop it, stop it! I can't stand it." The 3 of us have laughed about that since. Bill Haas |
