| Jim Stanley and I were classmates at Our Lady of Lourdes grammar school in Oakland, CA. After graduation in 1946 Jim's family moved to Redlands, where I visited them once. I last saw Jim when he came for a religious retreat to Maryknoll Seminary in Ossining NY. He graduated from the Military Academy later that year. Later when I was serving in Africa I was saddened to hear that Jim had died. During the time I knew him I considered him a fine and generous friend. |
