| Ray and I crossed paths in a personnel processing office in Saigon in late summer of 1965. He was on his way up country to the I Corps area to take Wally Crain's job as Ranger Bn Advisor. I was winding up my year in the same area. I "briefed" Ray and handed him one of my pungent Phillipine cigars...I wish I had hugged the guy when we parted ways, but we didn't do those kind of things back then...Fred Rall '56 Co M-1 |
