I am a member of the class of 1958. Al was my squad leader at W.P. Of course I didn't call him "Al". Mostly he called me and kept me straight. He was always fair and, if not friendly, kept discipline in perspective. I spent much time in his room standing at attention. That was the way we were initiated into the Long "Gray Line". I will always feel a part of his squad. A good man. I'm sorry he left us early. |
