Except for Don Little and Ken Withers I think I knew Bob (or Bobby when we were younger) longer than most of his classmates. Our connection goes back to our younger days as kids at Ft Leavenworth, KN. Our dads were stationed there at the same time. My connection also comes from the fact that our dads were both class of '32 and very close friends. We both had a grandfather that was a member of the class of 1896. Bob was a great person and a good friend. He will be missed by everyone that knew him and we are all blessed for knowing him. Now he can rest in peace. Helen Hunt Valence |
