I had the very good fortune of rooming with Jerry our first class year. It was a lively, interesting and challenging year for both of us. I came to admire Jerry's ability to meet every challenge with total aplomb and good humor. His cheerful presence and friendship made getting through that last stretch much less of a burden and into a year to fondly remember. I am sorry that our career paths did not cross and I was not able to know the wonderful family that he and Joan created. My deepest sympathy to all of them. Conn Anderson (Alexandria, Virginia) |
