The loss of this really great man was tremendous to me. I knew Porter when he and I attended Virginia Tech in the '50s and though it was sad to lose him as a classmate at Tech, I was thrilled for him when he was accepted at West Point. Serving his country was his great desire and he achieved that by his many years in the Air Force in service to his country and by the expression of his personal values in his private life. May God bless his soul and he have eternal rest. (He was a great dancer, too !!!) |
