Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Bobby Bacon on July 12, 2010:

I still miss Skip...as do so many others.

Skip, Charlie Hamm and I were roommates, had fun and never took anything too seriously. When one of us was down, the other two would pick us up. He was that way with everybody. No matter what the situation all of us new we could count on Skip for support. He was never in a bad mood and I never saw him lose control. If things were bad he would give you that half smile or smirk and make a tisk sound with his tongue against his front teeth.

We would make up games like volleyball [wrapped up paper] over the room divider, attempt to sing songs from South pacific, play cards and study some.

I had so many great times with Skip that I will always cherish; traveling around Europe in his sporty MG, playing sports together, going to see Broadway shows in NYC and so many other special times.

Skip was really special..and he left us too soon.
