Be Thou At Peace

| During my adult life, it has been my honor, privilege, and pleasure to serve with and for great men; men of honor, vision, and compassion. General Prather was prominent in this group. I served as his Aide-de-Camp while he served as ADC-H for 3rd Armored Division. I benefited greatly from his example both in leadership and friendship. Despite the difference in our pay grades, he always treated me as a valued fellow officer and friend. Over the years, I have often thought of General Prather and Ann, always with gratitude. I regret that I was unaware of his passing. I would have been honored to attend his funeral service. My Anne and I miss the Prathers, but with a "hope in Christ," we look forward to meeting again. |
