Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Diane Taylor Elrod on July 10, 2011:

I would like to echo all of the sentiments expressed in the eulogies posted. My Uncle Don was an amazing man, to a young girl growing up simply larger than life. I remember being 10 and telling my friends that he was a war hero, only to learn as I grew that he was a hero in so many more ways -- to his family, his friends, his coworkers. He was a wonderful younger brother to my mom, a rock who she could lean on as they lost their parents and later when she lost my dad. He was also a wonderful role model for anyone aspiring to be a great son, a great husband, a great dad, a great grandfather, a great uncle, a great boss, a great friend... I am blessed to have known him and blessed that he has left such a beautiful legacy in Aunt Bobbie, Kathy, Karen, Don and their families. Well done, good and faithful servant! (Matt. 25:21)
