Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Tom and Jane Decker on July 27, 2011:

We met Bobbie and Don when we were both living in Raleigh. Bobbie and Jane met playing bridge with the Newcomers Club and soon Tom and Don became friends. We had a West Point connection since two of our sons attended West Point. Don was working in Raleigh so they were in town more often. We met for breakfast on the weekends and dinners during the week. They sold their home and for a while they were living in their motor home at two different parks. Park rules that you couldn't stay in a park more than two weeks at a time so they had to change locations. When Bobbie played bridge at night she would have to call Don to meet her at the gate that had been closed at dusk. He would wait up for her call so she could get back home. What a patient and caring husband.
We truly enjoyed our time together. He will be missed.
